The Ladies Lunch at the Lausanne Palace is one of those charity events that hold a special place in Lausanne life. I had the pleasure of attending this event, held in the elegant surroundings of the Lausanne Palace, which brings working women from the region together in support of a good cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

An edition in support of Special Olympics Switzerland<\/strong><\/p>\n

The year I attended, the Ladies Lunch was supporting Special Olympics Switzerland<\/strong>, an organisation that promotes sport for people with intellectual disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the aims was to support the athletes and help them take part in the 2015 World Summer Games in Los Angeles.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sport plays a vital role in inclusion, self-confidence, independence and social participation. Supporting an organisation like this helps make sport more accessible, and it also celebrates people for their abilities, their achievements and their dedication.<\/span><\/p>\n
